IPT Webinar DLN628: You Too Can Be a Tax Credit Investor
June 24, 2020
2-3 PM EST

This session will focus on how federal and state tax credits can be either transferred or allocated to an investor to meet economic, financial, regulatory, and/or social impact targets. No longer are investors limited to financial institutions. Companies in the market place that have a desire to utilize incentives for benefit can participate. The panel will provide background information on tax credit programs, how they can be monetized, and review a case of how a non-traditional investor participated in a tax credit structure without having to become an expert of the incentive program.

Learning Objectives:
Explain the basics of tax credit programs and why they are available
Justify the importance of tax credit monetization to the underlying project
Determine financial implications and impacts for the tax credit investor
Identify potential strategies to ensure an effective tax credit investment
Discuss the potential non-financial outcomes of the tax credit investment for the tax credit investor
