Sr. Mgr. Tax International (Springdale, Arkansas) - This position is primarily responsible for managing certain aspects of Tyson’s International Tax activities. The position is responsible for assisting with the coordination and review of international portions of the US income tax return and related workpapers. Other responsibilities include preparing/coordinating/reviewing the quarterly income tax provision process, assisting with IRS international tax audits, transfer pricing, various international tax projects, working with tax team members and issues in foreign countries, performing tax research, and other non-international income tax-related activities.  The candidate must have good analytical skills and a good knowledge of income tax accounting.  The candidate must also have a broad range of knowledge of federal corporate tax issues associated with international operations and foreign activity.  Strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills are essential to this position. REQUIREMENTS: Requires broad knowledge in general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting or equivalent in an academic field directly related and essential to this position. Significant in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, tax laws, and accounting. 8 plus years of experience in the field of corporation income taxation or related fields, preferably in the area of international taxation. Public accounting experience as well as CPA preferred. Requires advanced computer skills. Candidate must have working ability with tax preparation software, Excel, Access, Word, SAP, and Outlook. Must have ability to perform technical research using CCH, BNA, or other tax research tools. Ability to manage processes utilizing multiple data sources. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this position in order for the candidate to deal with both taxing authorities, subordinates reporting to this position, and other managers. Applicant must have ability to multi-task, corporate international income tax knowledge, and an understanding of financial statements. The applicant should have the ability to improve routine processes through automation or other procedure to increase department efficiency. Candidate should be able to analyze and efficiently manipulate large amounts of data. Corporate Income Tax Senior Director (Springdale, Arkansas) - Tyson Foods ($50b) has a rare opportunity for a well experienced Corporate Income Tax Senior Director. Relocation is available. The Senior Director Income Tax is a leadership position within the tax department responsible for overseeing all aspects of U.S. domestic tax planning, return preparation, compliance, and controversy. This role requires an experienced tax professional with in-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.  Responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and filing of all required federal and state tax returns, developing and implementing tax strategies, monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, identifying and assessing tax-related risks and implementing mitigation strategies, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements within the tax function, evaluating tax technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy, overseeing federal and state tax controversy and assisting with quarterly financial statement reporting and cash projections for income taxes. This position is based at our Springdale, Arkansas location. Remote or hybrid work options are not available for this role. Knowledge is typically acquired through at least four years of college, resulting in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent in an academic field directly related and essential to this position; significant in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with an emphasis in income tax accounting and income tax laws; CPA designation preferred. Experience: Minimum of 15 plus years’ experience in the field of federal and state corporation income taxation; minimum of 5 years’ experience with a major accounting firm preferred.  Preferred experience includes experience with federal and state compliance, audit and planning. Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills. The candidate must have working ability with income tax preparation software, Excel, Word, and Outlook; the candidate must have the ability to perform technical research using CCH, BNA, or other tax research tools. Communication Skills: Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills are required: position will be dealing with management, taxing authorities, and team members. Special Skills: Must have excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of a broad range of federal and state corporate tax issues; able to perform tax analysis on a variety of business strategies to minimize corporate taxes.
