IPT’s Sales Tax School I: Introduction to Sales & Use Taxes is a five-day program that provides a beginner-level and thorough education in the theory and management of sales & use taxation. With general and breakout sessions throughout the school, participants receive a comprehensive education in essential sales & use tax principles, including tax research, accounting, auditing, and other practical skills needed on the job. In addition, the workshops are focused on specific matters discussed in the general sessions, whereby instructors lead robust and participative discussions.
All of the school’s sessions are led by a diverse faculty who come from the corporate, consulting, legal, and academic sectors and are backed by decades of real-world experience. Successful completion of the course is required for any School I attendee wanting to take the advanced school.
