Dear IPT Members,
September marks the start of a busy stretch for IPT, and we are already well underway.
Last week, we wrapped up the Property Tax School in Grapevine, TX, and I would like to thank the Property Tax School Planning Committee and instructors for the work that went into this year’s School. I had the opportunity to visit the School to welcome the attendees and meet some of them during the Monday reception. These programs depend on members who are willing to give their time, share what they have learned throughout their careers, and help newer professionals build a strong foundation in the field. It was a pleasure to meet the instructors and watch them in action. That willingness to teach and contribute is an important part of what makes IPT’s educational programs so valuable.
Next week, many of you—myself included—will gather for the Sales Tax Symposium and VAT Symposium. With the Symposiums just around the corner, I am looking forward to the discussions ahead and to spending time with members and colleagues in Orlando. The programs will address a wide variety of issues that are top of mind for tax professionals, including AI and digital transactions, multistate compliance, sourcing, audits, and legal developments.
This edition of the IPT Insider includes several important registration, hotel, and designation deadlines, so I encourage you to take a few minutes to review what is coming up and make plans for the programs that are most relevant to you.
