Biography:
JOSH SIGMON, CMI, MBA, is the Senior Director of Sales & Use Tax at Compass Group USA in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he and his teammates are responsible for sales & use tax compliance, controversy, process improvement, technology, and financial accounting. Mr. Sigmon has over twenty years of experience in sales and use tax in various industries. Prior to joining Compass in 2019, Mr. Sigmon spent time in various roles including Global Tax Director and Tax Officer at AFL, Director of Indirect Tax & Incentives & Assistant Treasurer at Guardian Building Products, Tax Manager at Carrier Enterprise, Assistant VP of Transaction Taxes at Bank of America, and Field Auditor at the North Carolina Department of Revenue. Mr. Sigmon received his BA degree in Accounting from Lenoir-Rhyne University located in Hickory, North Carolina, and his MBA with a concentration in Accounting from Gardner-Webb University located in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. In addition, he is a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (CMI).
