Academic Membership

One of IPT's goals is to educate, support and encourage professionals within the state and local tax (SALT) community.  As part of that directive, IPT is focused on nurturing relationships with academic institutions to help develop relationships with professors, students and other academics to familiarize them with the world of SALT.

The opportunity of Academic Membership is available to any professor, teacher or student in good standing employed by or enrolled full time in any academically certified college or university who has a professional interest in public finance or state and local taxation and who is not otherwise eligible for any other type of membership . Membership dues are waived upon approval of the application.

Unless otherwise terminated by resignation or non-compliance with these By-Laws , an Academic Membership shall conclude upon the termination of such member’s affiliation with an academic institution.
