IPT's Sales Tax School I: Introduction to Sales and Use Taxes provides attendees with a fundamental skill set needed to understand and apply fundamental sales & use tax concepts in the real world. This school is intended for those new to sales & use tax or with limited exposure to the discipline. It is an excellent opportunity to expand their technical knowledge, prepare them for diverse sales & use tax scenarios, and build a path for professional development in sales & use taxation.

The school is led by a diverse faculty of sales & use tax professionals with vast amounts of experience from the corporate and private sectors. These practitioners will guide attendees through a review, analysis, and application of essential sales & use tax concepts.

In addition to general sessions, attendees will spend time working together in smaller groups developing practical applications for situations sales & use tax professionals face every day. This hands-on format allows registrants to share ideas, expand their problem-solving skills, and connect with colleagues.
