Online Option - If you choose to attend the school through the virtual option and will not be on site at Georgia Tech, you are required to pay the $275 Technology Fee to cover the audio/video programming expense and as well as the shipment of the IPT Course I Student Course Notebook.  This fee is mandatory and cannot be waived.  (Note: if you register seven days or less before the start of the school, your Course Notebook may not arrive in time before the program commences.)  All school sessions will be streamed via GoToWebinar and you will receive all appropriate links prior to the start of the school.  You must attend the live presentations online as recordings will not be available.  As a reminder, any recording of this school is strictly prohibited by IPT; violators will be subject to removal from IPT membership.   When registering please select the online option to add to your total registration fee. Online registrants must pay the registration fee plus the online fee. 

King bedding accommodations have been blocked for this group. Please note that all guestrooms are non-smoking. Many of them have attended IPT's Sales Tax School I and consider it a valuable step on their path to professional achievement and fulfillment. 

Sales Tax School I equips attendees with the skill and knowledge required to face the challenges tax professionals confront daily by providing them with a solid foundation in the theory and functional components of sales & use taxation and management. 

The school delivers practical applications of sales & use tax concepts such as:
Tax policy;
Research strategies; 
Value added tax; and 
Taxation technology. 

Attendees will gain insight into other topics, including:
Sales tax administration;
Return filing process;
Ethics; 
Impact of sales & use taxation on specific industries; and
Sales & use tax career planning.

Knowledgeable Instructors Focused on Success: The school is led by a diverse faculty who come from the corporate, private, and academic sectors and are backed by decades of experience. Throughout the week, the instructors are available to answer questions, provide guidance, and help attendees understand the concepts presented.

Earn CPE Credit: Approximately 32 hours of continuing education credits, including 1.2 ethics credits, are available for full attendance. Registrants must attend 90% (i.e., earn approximately 29 CE credit hours) of the school, including the mandatory ethics session, to earn an official certificate of attendance. 
 
Successful completion of Sales Tax School I is a prerequisite for Sales Tax School II.
