Why Attend
The 2026 IPT Credits & Incentives Symposium is designed to help attendees strengthen their technical C&I knowledge while gaining practical insight they can apply in their day-to-day work.
Over the course of four days, attendees will receive advanced, practitioner-led education on the complex issues affecting business tax credits, incentives, and economic development programs, such as evolving incentive programs, compliance considerations, legislative and regulatory developments, labor standards, transferable credits, redevelopment incentives, and economic development strategy.
Who Should Attend
The 2026 IPT Credits & Incentives Symposium is designed for professionals who represent, advise, or work with businesses on credits and incentives matters, including corporate tax and SALT professionals, consultants, advisors, site selection professionals, and economic development-focused practitioners.
This program is open to IPT members and non-members seeking advanced education, practical insight, and access to a national network of professionals working across the credits and incentives field.
Networking Opportunities
Attendees will have opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships with peers from across the country who are working through many of the same credits and incentives questions, challenges, and opportunities.
Connect with Economic Development Organizations
A key feature of the 2026 Credits & Incentives Symposium is the opportunity to interact with state and local economic development organization representatives in one focused setting.
These connections give attendees access to market-level perspective, regional insight, and practical context around business tax credits, incentive programs, and economic development priorities. For professionals who evaluate, negotiate, advise on, or manage incentives, this added access can help inform strategy and strengthen understanding of how programs are being shaped and applied across jurisdictions.
See C&I Technology in Action
Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit with technology vendors and see live demonstrations of software designed to support credits and incentives work. These tech demos are an educational, non-promotional opportunity for vendors to walk attendees through real-world functionality, practical use cases, and key features of credits and incentives software. The format is intended to help attendees better understand available tools and evaluate how technology may fit into their own processes.
