Have you ever wondered what it is like to be 400 feet in the air, preparing to race down a 4500-foot track of packed snow and ice, traveling at speeds over 85 mph? If so, the Utah Olympic Park Tour at this year’s Annual Conference is for you!
Join IPT and your colleagues on Sunday, June 26, 2022, for a tour of Utah Olympic Park, home of the most dangerous and exciting sports from the 2002 Winter Olympics. Tour participants will depart the Grand America Hotel at 12:30 p.m. MDT for a 45-minute bus ride to Olympic Park in Park City, Utah. Once there, they will tour the nearly 400-acre venue that houses one of only four sliding tracks in North America, six Nordic ski jumps, a 2002 Winter Games museum, and a multitude of adventure activities. During this guided tour, participants will explore the venue and learn about the amazing stories of Olympic achievement • and some of the more peculiar tales of the Utah Olympic Park. But, of course, the tour wouldn’t be complete without a trip to top the of the Bobsled/Skeleton/Luge track. There will not be snow or ice on the track, but you will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to know what it’s like to stand in Olympian’s shoes.
The group will depart at 3:45 p.m. MDT to arrive back at the Grand America Hotel by 4:30 p.m. MDT. Refreshments will be provided on the bus.
Space is limited for this unique experience and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The fee for the excursion is $40 per person and is non-refundable after June 1, 2022. Please note the tour will be canceled with no penalty to participants if a minimum of 25 participants do not sign up by June 1, 2022. To save your spot, all you need to do is select the Utah Olympic Park Tour option when you register for the Annual Conference.
