An Invitation from IPT's President

Every year, tax professionals from across the nation look forward to IPT's Annual Conference; it is the year's most anticipated state and local tax conference.  It certainly lives up to the hype!

The Annual Conference Committee has spent many hours developing and preparing the conference agenda to ensure you get the best value from your conference experience.  As a result, the 2022 Conference features more than 30 general and breakout sessions, three engaging keynote speakers, and numerous opportunities to network with colleagues.

There are also other reasons to attend.  First of all, Salt Lake City is a great place to visit, especially in the summer.  The temperatures are mild, and there is so much to do.  You can enjoy the dining, nightlife, and other entertainment in the city's center.  There is also ample opportunity to visit historical and religious sites, and if you love the outdoors, you will find lots to do.

Secondly, the Annual Conference venue, the Grand America Hotel, is exquisite.  It is within walking distance to the city's attractions and steps away from TRAX, which provides convenient transportation to and from the airport.  From the hotel's design to its unique decor to its amazing Italian glass chandeliers, you will feel like you have stepped into the lap of luxury at this hotel.

I invite you to attend this year's Annual Conference this June in Salt Lake City.  I hope to see you there!

Conference Overview

IPT's Annual Conference is the year's most robust educational tax program due to its comprehensive content, covering multiple tax sectors, including sales & use, property, and state income tax, as well as credits and incentives.

The Conference features dozens of sessions led by engaging presenters who discuss topics ranging from regional updates, hot button issues, industry trends, and best practices in the state and local tax arena. This program will keep you informed, updated, and prepared to take on ongoing SALT challenges. Specific session information is forthcoming and will be announced in the near future.

In addition to the exceptional educational content, the Conference also provides attendees with multiple opportunities to network at meals, evening receptions, and in-between sessions, all of which offer conducive environments for reconnecting with colleagues and establishing new business relationships. The evening events begin shortly after the day's sessions conclude and end by 7 p.m., giving you ample time to dine with colleagues, explore Salt Lake City, or take in the natural beauty of Utah.
