Prerequisite: You must have attended and passed the IPT Property Tax School or successfully passed the Property Tax Competency Exam.

IPT's Personal Property Tax School is designed for those who understand the fundamentals of ad valorem concepts and want a comprehensive education in personal property taxation.

The school's faculty will guide registrants through a detailed study of the four cornerstones of personal property taxation:
1. Classification
2. Valuation
3. Compliance
4. Audits & Appeals

The curriculum focuses on the practical application of these principles by demonstrating how the proper treatment of tangible personal property can influence a company's financial performance. Attendees will apply this knowledge to real-world scenarios by working in small groups on a case study and presenting at a mock hearing. From this experience, registrants will develop the skills to address and resolve personal property tax issues and better serve their clients.
