Tax Update from the 2020 Virginia General Assembly Session

Updates from the Virginia Legislative Session is rescheduled to April 28 from 2-3 pm eastern as the Virginia Assembly plans to hold a special session and that will change some of the outcomes made during the regular session.

Following the historic switch of Virginia from Republican to Democratic control, many tax policies that had long been stalled gained new attention.  The session will review changes in Virginia’s 2020 legislative session with a particular focus on tax policies that have an economic development impact.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe policy changes from 2020 session
2. Detail how Virginia’s tax policy is changing
3. Recognize future opportunities
4. Explore COVID-19 impacts

The cost of this webinar is $50 for members and $75 for individuals who do not hold an IPT membership. Individuals must be registered, logged in separately, and answer attendance questions during the session to receive credit for the webinar.

Participants will earn 1.2 CPE credits in taxes, and CMIs and CCIPs will receive 1.2 hours towards their CE requirements.
