The conference organizers have issued a call for speakers with brief abstracts due by Friday,September 9, 2016. Priority will be given to those abstracts that include an industry/business representative when the abstract is submitted.  To submit an abstract/application to speak, please use the convenient online form above and in the right-hand column. 
 
Fee includes expert instruction for professional education credits/CEUs, a comprehensive flash drive of all the sessions' presentations, outlines and other resource materials, two luncheons, two breakfasts, two afternoon refreshment break and a celebration reception. 

$695 per person. Significant Savings for Organizations Sending Multiple Attendees: For 2 to 7 persons from one organization: $625 per person (a 10% savings). For 8 or more persons from one organization: $520 per person (a 25% savings).

Professional Education Credits/CEUs. This conference has been approved or approval is pending by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 14 CLE hours (including optional 2 hours ethics).   Additionally, the conference has approval pending for 16.5 hours of CPE (including optional 2 hour ethics) credit toward re-certification through the Accountancy Board of Ohio for attending this conference as the MEC is a registered CPE sponsor through the Accountancy Board of Ohio.

The ABA Section of Taxation and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation® again present this popular opportunity for CLE and CPE. The ABA/IPT Advanced Income Tax, Sales/Use Tax and Property Tax Seminars are designed for attorneys, accountants, tax directors, state and local tax managers, government tax officials, appraisers, property tax managers, commercial and industrial property managers, and others interested in state and local income, sales, use, and ad valorem taxation. Over the course of five days comprising three one and one-half day seminars, a distinguished and multidisciplinary group of speakers, including appraisers, government and private sector tax officials, tax managers, and state and local tax attorneys, will lead you in the practical examination of current state and local tax issues facing different businesses and industries. The program devotes substantial time to current issues in the field and practical solutions to recurring difficulties in handling and winning a state and local tax appeal.
