Lead SALT Tax Analyst (Cleveland, Ohio) - The income tax function within the SALT group in the Eaton Tax Operations Group is responsible for all state and local income tax, franchise tax, annual report, business license and Commercial Activity Tax (CAT) filings. The income tax function within the SALT group is also responsible for the current and deferred state and local income tax provisions, including the applicable income tax accounting. The position will assist with all these state functions within the SALT group. The primary focus of this position will be state income and franchise taxes, but could have exposure to sales and use taxes, gross receipts taxes, employment taxes, credits and incentives, and due diligence reviews. Key responsibilities will include: Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations. Researching and drafting technical memoranda, matrices and other client deliverables on advanced state income/franchise tax issues. Basic qualifications: 3+ years of multistate consulting and compliance experience in a Big-4 or large regional public accounting firm or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (CPA/CMI preferred). Tax Director (Dallas, Texas) - This position is responsible for the Company’s tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes. This is a newly created position within the organization and will work with the business, other accounting professionals and service providers in carrying out his/her responsibilities. Accountabilities/Duties: Responsible for the review and oversight of federal, international and state income tax returns, including related analysis and support. Coordinates activities of tax advisors, tax preparers and other specialist. Responsible for managing the relationships with external audits of federal and state income taxes and state and local filings. Responsible for preparation and supervision of Sales/Use tax compliance. Minimize the cost of compliance through implementation of prudent and appropriate tax accounting methods for new or existing transactions and through the optimization of tax compliance systems and processes.
